Today, November 1st, was to mark the second day of the ever-popular annual electronic music festival FreakNight at Seattle’s WaMu Theater. However, after day one on October 31st, when one attendee died of an ecstasy (“Molly”) overdose, they have made the decision to cancel day two. The announcement came two hours after the doors were supposed to open at 4:00pm PDT, which left a bevy of pissed off attendees outside in line during this time.
Twitter and Facebook have exploded with several hundred if not thousands of complaints.
The festival arrangers will soon be offering refunds to those who bought tickets to the second day on Monday, November 3rd.
Due to the FreakNight cancellation, the afterparty at Showbox SoDo has also been cancelled. Refunds available at point of purchase.
