Alternative Rock Band A Killing Dove released the video,
“Break The Formulaic” on February 9th 2013.
The video was filmed by the
innovative and new Portland company, Sunbleached Visuals.
The piece can
be seen on Youtube at http://www.youtube.com/AKillingDoveBand and includes the complicated lyrics and tight sound of A Killing Dove.
“Break The Formulaic “ was shot in one day in the basement of the infamous
Dove Manor in Vancouver WA. It was filmed on a budget that allowed for
large quantities black plastic, masking tape, used televisions and some
very creative and well planned shots. The piece features the title song
from their second CD release “Break the Formulaic”.
The band’s first CD received press and radio play from around the Pacific
Northwest. The self titled album and live show performances led A
Killing Dove to one of the biggest events in Washington State, Hempfest
Seattle. This setting occurred only weeks after A Killing Dove
successfully toured the west states off their first album in 2010.
A Killing Dove is looking forward to an even stronger statement with
“Break The Formulaic”. The album’s writing has been influenced by the
music which surrounds them, their fans and the struggles that have brought
A Killing Dove originally from Tri-Cities Washington has a vibrant history
including a trip to the United Kingdom for time at Musician’s Institute.
The band has been together since 2006 and includes Jake Brown on vocals
and guitar, James Vik on Bass, Kyle Garello on drums.
